Every three seconds poverty kills a child. Every three seconds! I know it sounds so unbelievable. Sadly, it's very true. There are reports that this statistic is improving, but the numbers are still very high. The battle against poverty is a long way off. Churches are just beginning to take their role in caring for the children devastated by poverty, injustice and oppression, and many are not sure what to do or how to make a difference. GIDCCO is dedicated to being an advocate for children living in horrific conditions. Our prayers request to you is to be a voice of the voiceless around you about God's heart for the millions of children who are living in poverty.
The Gospel continues to reach children
Greetings from the children, church members and Guardians.
We are happy to inform you that gospel goes deep to children in the villages, mostly in schools many gave their live to Christ. Children enjoy playing foot balls and net balls, sure let NO little things bother us, stop us from moving forward. If a pebble can stop you, what will you do when that BOULDER comes down? Prayer and Faith in our Lord and savior Jesus Christ will move a mountain! Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
SO STAND UP FOR YOUR FAITH DO NOT BACK DOWN STAY STRONG AND GET YOUR STRENGTH FROM HIS WORD!!!

Need for a permanent school 1
Praise the Lord Brothers and Sisters,
In Uganda, hundreds of people are coming to Christ every day. We are sure Lord is at work. Your prayers means a lot and we ask for you to mostly pray for orphans in the orphanage, for health and education funds, and shoes and clothing. We pray for a way to raise 25,000 dollars in order to build a 4 classroom permanent school structure where our children can attend classes. If you are able and called to help we are in need, and look forward to hear from you soon, thanks in advance.

Shoes needed for the children 1
"GIDCCO cares over 500 orphaned children at present. These children are abandoned and left to fend for themselves, trying to provide for their smaller siblings. Without adult intervention, it is impossible for them to survive. GIDCCO searches for these children throughout the surrounding villages, districts of Uganda. We rescue these children, giving them a loving home, education, and providing for all their daily needs."
They have been suffering from Jiggers which cause parts of the body to rot and lead to immobility. Jiggers can be prevented by wearing shoes. We are asking for donations for this cause as well as donations of shoes for children ages 4-18.

With the help of PROSAMI we can now collect donations through Paypal for maternal and infant health for those in Uganda. Some focus issues are below:
1- To reduce incidence of hemorrhage during delivery or pregnancy, such as placenta abruptio
2- Proper Nutrition for the mother and baby
3- Counseling
4- Visiting homes and encouraging Pregnant mothers to visit nearby hospitals.
5- To treat Eclampsia and hypertensive disorders
"The main goal of the program is to provide a recommended package of care to Pregnant mothers in order to reduce the transmission of HIV from the mother to the child and ultimately contribute to reduction in infant mortality and morbidity" -Pastor Fred Mwanje

We are giving great thanks this Christmas for a $100 donation which bought eleven nice thick blankets for street kids. "they have been along the road begging, nothing to cover themselves when they are sleeping but today according to the support given in the ministry we had managed to give out for the needy ...this Christmas is very special for them and you have brought smiles to their faces."
